Beginner-friendly clue mode
The 25 Words or Less game gives the clue-giver enough space to explain a difficult target without removing the pressure. The generator presets eight targets and caps the round at twenty-five spoken words, making it the best starting mode for new or mixed-age groups.
Strategy for this preset
Eight targets give you about three words each. Use short descriptive pairs instead of risky one-word references, then tighten the clues in later rounds once everyone understands which associations the team shares.
Twenty-five is forgiving enough for children and first-time players to learn what counts as a clue, how skipping works, and why filler words matter. Keep counting every spoken word so the easier mode still teaches the real game.
After one or two successful rounds, replay a similar category at twenty words. The target count can stay at eight; the smaller clue budget alone creates a visible step up in difficulty without introducing new rules.
Worked example
Eight targets cleared in sixteen spoken words, leaving nine words for second attempts.
