Taboo online is ideal when you do not have the board game handy, you are hosting a remote game night, or you want unlimited fresh cards instead of repeating the same deck. CardYard generates new target words and forbidden clue words every round.
Share your screen or hold the phone up to the camera so only the clue-giver sees the forbidden words. Teammates guess aloud on Zoom, Discord, FaceTime, or Google Meet. Use a timer if your group likes fast rounds.
Pass one phone or tablet to the clue-giver, or project the card on a TV or projector. Everyone else looks away while the clue-giver reads the target word and blocked clues, then starts describing.
Use party categories for mixed groups, kid-friendly categories for classrooms, or custom themes for team icebreakers and vocabulary practice. Premium unlocks adult themes and custom prompt lists.
