An emoji guessing game for your next get-together
Read a row of emojis as a movie, song, phrase, or thing. Emoji Guess turns that simple idea into an AI emoji quiz: choose what your group knows, say your guesses aloud, and reveal the explanation when you are ready.
How to play
- Choose a preset or custom topic and a difficulty. Start with something everyone recognizes.
- Generate a puzzle. Check the answer type, then work out what the emojis suggest.
- Guess aloud. Open the hint if you want a nudge before revealing the answer.
- Read the answer and explanation. Agree on close guesses, then move to the next puzzle.
Make the theme fit your group
Try “90s pop songs, easy clues” for a music night, “food and drinks for our office party” for coworkers, or “animated movies for kids, no horror” for a family round. Name the audience and exclusions in your custom topic. A new custom topic does not have to be about Christmas.
For a shared screen, let everyone see the clue before opening the hint. If you want a competition, keep scores yourself and agree whether a close title earns a point. AI interpretations can vary; the explanation is a starting point for your group’s decision.

Emoji Guess questions
How do you play Emoji Guess?
Choose a theme, generate a puzzle, and guess the answer aloud from the emoji clue and answer type. Use the optional hint, reveal the answer and explanation, then move to the next puzzle. Your group decides which guesses count.
Are the puzzles generated by AI?
Yes. Every playable puzzle is AI-generated. Clues can have more than one reasonable interpretation, so agree on acceptable answers together. There is no typed-answer checker.
Can I choose my own emoji quiz theme?
Yes. Choose a preset or enter a custom topic. Christmas is selected by default, but you can also play movies and TV, general topics, or your own theme. Presets and custom generation use the site's existing usage limits.
How many people can play?
You can solve clues alone, take turns with a partner, or split a group into teams. Everyone uses the same visible puzzle. This version has no online rooms or automatic scoring.
Is Emoji Guess available in the CardYard app?
Emoji Guess is currently a web game. Play in your browser on a phone, tablet, or computer. The CardYard app promotion is for CardYard on iPhone and iPad, not native Emoji Guess availability.
