Five surprises · five locked slots · no peeking
Blind Ranking Game
Blind Ranking is a social ranking game where each item appears one at a time. Put it into an open slot before the next surprise is revealed, then compare your blind choices with the order you really wanted.
A fair score for a subjective game
After all five items appear, arrange them into your honest final order. CardYard compares that order with your locked blind ranking, so the score measures your own regret instead of forcing a made-up correct answer.
Play solo or pass one phone around a group. Food, travel, entertainment, animals, everyday life, party, and wild-card packs are free and ready instantly.
How to play Blind Ranking
- Choose a category or tap Surprise me.
- Place the first revealed item into one of five open slots.
- Lock each new item before seeing what comes next.
- After the fifth reveal, arrange your true final order.
- Compare Blind Scores and play another pack.
Ways to play
Every mode uses the same irreversible five-item reveal.
- Solo: Chase a perfect 100 score by predicting how much you will like unseen items.
- Pass and play: Rotate one phone and compare average scores after every player gets the same number of turns.
- Private Room: Rank the same sequence simultaneously on separate phones and compare group consensus.
Example category
Rank five road-trip snacks from best to worst. Chips appears first—do you spend the #1 slot or save it for an unknown favorite?
Once every item is revealed, your final order decides how well your blind choices held up.
Blind Ranking strategy
Protect the middle
Middle slots are flexible; spending #1 or #5 early creates the biggest risk.
Trust your first reaction
The reveal is meant to be fast. Discussion is more fun than perfect optimization.
Try new categories
A strong score in food does not guarantee a strong score for travel or superpowers.
